The biggest advantage of the UNII is undoubtedly the use of a single device for all applications. The UNii 32, 128, 512, and the concertrator all use the same hardware. This is a significant advantage. How does licensing work? Each UNii device can be equipped with a license key, which allows it to be upgraded to a larger version or used as a hub or for Aperio. It may happen that a service technician installed a replacement circuit board with different licenses than the previous one. Each UNii can be installed once and covered by an emergency license, which is valid for seven days. During this time, the appropriate license must be added – locally using the UNii Manager or remotely via UNii online. If the license is not added within seven days, the system will revert to its original settings, and the customer will only be able to shut down the system.
