Vega11 Varifocal by Tattile
Vega11 Varifocal from Tattile
The Vega11 Varifocal is the latest offering from Italian manufacturer Tattile. The camera is designed for flexible installation and reliable operation in challenging environments, while maintaining the highest license plate reading accuracy.
Varifocal Lenses and Continuous Autofocus
At the heart of the device are two high-quality 10-20 mm varifocal lenses – separately for the OCR channel (grayscale, 2 MP) and the contextual channel (color, 2 MP). Thanks to continuous autofocus calibration, the defined reading parameters remain stable over time, regardless of lighting conditions. The camera ensures vehicle detection accuracy of over 99% and license plate reading accuracy of up to 98%, at distances ranging from 3 to 15 meters.
Artificial Intelligence and the STARK Platform
The built-in ANPR module is based on AI algorithms, and the entire software runs on the STARK architecture – a fully modular, customizable platform with a multilingual web interface. Optionally, extended vehicle identification features are available: classification, color, brand, and model. Video transmission is color via RTSP.
Simple Installation and Extensive Connectivity
PoE+ power supply eliminates the need for separate electrical wiring, significantly simplifying installation. The device supports Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and optional LTE, and data can be stored locally on a microSD card up to 128 GB. Integration with back-office and VMS systems is possible via REST API, binary protocols, JSON, XML, and an RS485 serial port.
Resistance to Harsh Environments
The Vega11 Varifocal camera's IP68-rated housing and operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C ensure it can withstand even the harshest conditions. A tamper-proof sensor and vandal-resistant connectors further enhance installation security. The device weighs 3.6 kg and measures 225 x 132 x 244 mm, while consuming only 25 W.
Applications
The Vega11 Varifocal camera is designed for access control and parking systems, bus lane monitoring, LEZ/LTZ zones, weigh-in-motion (WIM), traffic analysis, and stop-and-go toll systems.
