One of the most modern education facilities worldwide has been opened In Gdynia. The municipal authorities have concluded an agreement with Microscoft, and both parties have established their joint objectives in the field of digital transformation of education. They started their cooperation already at the stage of construction works for works related to building a school that would be technologically advanced and capable of acquiring knowledge from the entire world. The 17th Secondary Education School is the first school of the kind in the central part of Europe, and concurrently one of 18 similar units associated under the Microsoft Flagship School worldwide.
The four-storey school building can house approximately 700 students in 26 sections, and the two-storey kindergarten can take in more or less 200 children. The complex has also been furnished with a library, activity rooms, computer rooms, dining premises and a hall. The school building is also connected with the sport building.
This modern educational facility was the first one in Poland to be furnished with the Detnov Fire Alarm System delivered by C&C Partners, which has been implemented by Minstal.

Typically the implementation process of fire alarm systems tends to involve certain formal and configuration related challenges, and in this particular case additional it was also required that both the system as such and the contractor responsible for provision of the system would cause the smallest possible interference to the appearance and interior fit-out of the facility. All specialists of the trade are well aware of how difficult such a task may be in cases in which it is necessary to seek possibilities of arriving at compromises in interpretation of regulations, because they seem to be seriously unequivocal in this respect and do not allow much freedom in operation to the fitter.

It was not easy to choose the correct system. On the one hand we had no previous experience with configuration of the FACP Detnov, and on the other hand we received a highly attractive offer fror the purchase of the system and cooperation with C&C, its supplier. In the end I decided for the Detnos FAS primarily due to the involvement and effective operation of the C&C team, which not only shared their knowledge and ideas with us, but has also proven its considerable flexibility and punctuality in all undertaken logistic measures. According to declarations made beforehand, system configutation proved to be very intuitive, and enabled coping with all design requirements arising from the specific features of the facility. Based on this experience I wish to emphasise that at no time have I felt fear for possible failture to keep up deadlines or helpless in solving minor difficultes associated wih installation of a system like the FAS.
